The Synchron.SmartClient application can be launched using the shortcut on the desktop of the device, if it was created, or by entering the Programs menu (Start -> Programs -> Synchron.SmartClient).

   Once the application is started, the main window will open:

   At this point several tests will be performed on the system to determine if the minimum operating conditions are met(the database is installed on the device, the configuration file exists etc). If these conditions are not met, a message will be displayed at the bottom of the screen and the application will close itself.

   If both the database and configuration file are correctly installed, the application will check if there are users in the database for the terminal on which it runs. If so, it will display the login screen, described in the next chapter.

   If there are no users the following screen will be showed, which informs the user to synchronize the application with the server by positioning the device in the cradle:
